Circa 1790 12 inch painted dial with floral decoration, Roman and Arabic numerals. 8-Day weight driven movement striking the hours on a bell with cast iron weights, brass pendulum bob and original steel crank winder. Classical Edinburgh case with fretted hood , string inlays and base inlaid with shells in the corners. Dimensions taken at their greatest points 87 inches high, 19.5 inches wide, 10.5 inches deep.
