THIS ITEM IS SOLD Waltham USA Antique 14ct solid gold keyless wind fob watch In Good Working Order. Circa 1897. Decorative fob watch in 3 colours of gold, all over engraved and the front cover with embossed shield surrounded with floral decoration. The back cover with a central deer with full antlers standing amongst trees. The 14ct gold case is in good condition, U.S. assay mark for 14ct solid gold. Keyless wind movement numbered 8001072 with lever escapement, signed, American Waltham Watch Co. The movement is in good working order and keeps good time. The white enamel Waltham dial has black Roman numerals, blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds dial. The hinges are in good condition, closing properly and the front cover springs open via the stem button. On testing the watch ran for a full day on one winding and kept good time. There are no personal inscriptions anywhere on the watch. Dims: 40mm diameter, 13.5mm thick. Gross weight 36.1 grams.
