Small antique 18ct gold demi or half hunter fob watch JW Benson London In Working Order. The case British hallmarked for 18ct gold in London 1899. The keyless wind, pin and stem set going barrel movement with lever escapement, marked, J. W. Benson, 62 & 64 Ludgate Hill, London. Watchmaker by Warrants to The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales. Numbered 568195. The gold case is in good condition but there are some little dents, mainly on the rims. There are no personal inscriptions on the watch, inside or out. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals, blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds dial, signed JW Benson, London. The dial has two feint hairline cracks, one each side of six running from the minute ring to the seconds dial. the one between five and six ends with some chips on the edge of the seconds dial. There are also some chips on the outer edge of the minute ring at four. The movement has just been serviced. It runs well and keeps good time. Dims; 37mm diameter, 12mm thick.
